ABOUT ME

As a photographer and fellow artist, I know how crucial it is to have an outstanding headshot. Photographing the best representation of you shouldn’t be taken lightly, and it is this challenge that I find so intriguing about my work. I treat your headshot as the most vital, tangible element in pursuing your dreams to be on screen, and I am honored to be a small part of your journey to success!
THE PROCESS
When you go into session with me, it is essential that you feel comfortable when facing the camera. Chemistry, as they say, is very important. When our session is complete, you will receive a link to all your photos, and once you choose your top selections, we will work together in the retouching process. You can learn all about the process in the FAQ section.
MY PHILOSOPHY
To me, headshot photography requires the right harmony of elements: lighting, angles, location, and most importantly, the client. Taking headshots is a collaborative process, and together we will discuss and explore the proper looks, hairstyles, make-up, lighting and location that best suit you. I am confident that once we speak and go over the process, you will feel completely at ease and eager to shoot!
Much like the age-old adage says, “The eyes are the window to your soul,” I believe your headshot is the window to your talents.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
We are located in the historic Lacy Studio Lofts where the I-5 and the 110 meet. It’s a thriving, artistic community, and you will love the vibes here! You can download the map that will lead you directly to our studio.
Where do I park?
Luckily, our studio has AMPLE street parking on Lacy St., which is also noted on the map.
Do you shoot in different locations, or just your studio?
For our signature and premium packages, we start our shoot at our studio, but after, we travel to secret locations that will make you glow and beam in your photo!
How long does a headshot session take?
Actors: Our direct package, which includes 3 looks in two locations, takes 1-2 hours. Sessions do vary in time however, depending on package choice and hair/make-up adjustments between looks. The good news is we don’t limit your time. We’ll shoot as much as it takes to get excellent images.
Business: 30-60 minutes depending on clothing changes.
What do I need to wear or bring to the session?
We always advocate to bring freshly-pressed shirts, blouses, and tops in a range of colors. We typically want to avoid distracting patterns and logos. Also, pure white and sometimes black tend to dominate the frame, but it won’t hurt to include them as possible options. Since we mostly focus on your face and upper torso, basic jeans or slacks will do. For corporate shots, it’s always best to dress how you usually do in the office. And men…if you’re coming in a suit, don’t forget your collar stays :).
What about hair & make-up?
Since some clients prefer to do their own hair and make-up, or they hire their own designated artist, our packages do not include hair/make-up pricing. We do however know of some extremely talented individuals should you require a recommendation. Expect to pay anywhere from $100-$300 for a professional hair & make-up artist, depending on how many looks you require.
What forms of payment do you accept?
For individual transactions, we accept Credit/Debit Cards (Visa/Mastercard/American Express/Discover), Cash, Venmo, Paypal, Wire Transfer and Personal Checks. We require a non-refundable deposit of half the session fee. The fee is due at your convenience after you’ve chosen a shoot date with us.
Can I get my pictures immediately at the end of the session?
Proofs are posted within 24 hours of your session. After you choose your top choices, we will begin our re-touching process immediately. Turnaround of final images for most sessions is usually 2-3 business days from when you tell us your final selections.
Tell me about retouching!
Retouching is an art form in and of itself. It’s highly important to not overdo an image, as casting directors need to understand the real you, and not some “version” of you. We take pride in achieving subtle and realistic results to ensure authenticity. Each package includes an allotted amount of retouched photos, though if you need a few more, we charge $20 per photo.
And what about printing?
We send you two versions of each photo: One high-resolution for printing, and one low-resolution for posting online. When you decide to print your headshot, always submit the high-resolution version obviously.
